Location

We are based in Panama, the bridge that connects North and South America and the passageway between East and West, serving world commerce for 500 years plus. Panama has been a fully US Dollarized (US$) country for more than 100 years and an international banking center for 50.

Panama is host to many Fortune 500 and our main international airport – The Hub of The Americas – offers convenient connections to all major cities in the World. Panama is a place where visitors and residents can practice many leisure activities year-round due to is tropical climate and can enjoy many of life’s pleasures in family-oriented communities. Panama enjoys one of the most stable economies in the Region, with growth rates that in the last couple of decades have surpassed those of most other countries Worldwide.

The opening of the third set of locks of the Panama Canal in 2016 has helped our economy remain robust and poised for continued growth for many decades to come. Our official language is Spanish, but English as a second language is very common in Panama City and other tourist destinations.

Our political system is a representative democracy with three branches of government working independently but in harmonic collaboration: the Executive, the Legislative and the Judiciary. Our current President, Mr. Laurentino Cortizo, was elected for a 5-year term in peaceful and democratic country-wide elections held in May of 2019.
